From August 1st to 9th, 2026 Dianchi International Coffee Culture Carnival will be held along the coast of Dianchi Lake in Kunming. As a strategic partner of the Yunnan Treasure Coffee Green Bean Competition (Yunnan Excellence Cup CoE Pilot Competition) for two consecutive years, Luckin Coffee made its debut at this carnival. Through pop-up stores, CoE award-winning bean tasting, and Yunnan limited product experiences, Luckin Coffee brought Yunnan specialty coffee from professional competitions to mass consumption scenes, allowing more citizens and tourists to intuitively experience the local customs, quality, and industrial value of Yunnan coffee by the Dianchi Lake.
Appearing at this carnival, for Luckin Coffee, it is not only a participation in urban cultural and tourism activities, but also a live presentation of its continued deepening of the Yunnan coffee industry. From production area cooperation, factory investment and construction, event support, to consumer promotion and mass tasting, Luckin Coffee is continuously helping Yunnan coffee to become boutique, branded, and high-quality through industry chain collaboration and consumer outreach.
From winning beans in the CoE pilot competition to limited hand brews, Luckin Coffee helps Yunnan coffee branding
During the carnival, Luckin Coffee set up pop-up stores on site to provide coffee products and Yunnan boutique coffee experiences for citizens and tourists. Among them, Luckin Coffee's pop-up store on the east bank of Dianchi Lake has set up a pre event warm-up session around the "CoE Pilot Competition Golden Bean Sunset Sharing Conference". Every afternoon, based on the scheduling of award-winning estates, corresponding estate owners or coffee farmers are invited to interact on-site, and the top ten award-winning beans before this year's Yunnan CoE pilot competition are opened for tasting, allowing consumers to experience the flavor of the competition beans up close by the Dianchi Lake and hear the stories of estates, production areas, and coffee farmers behind the coffee.

As a strategic partner of two consecutive Yunnan CoE pilot competitions, Luckin Coffee continues to support Yunnan's premium coffee in aligning with the international evaluation system. In this year's competition, Yunnan Coffee produced its first 91.78 point champion coffee beans. Luckin Coffee won the championship beans to support the development of Yunnan's premium coffee industry through actual procurement, further empowering production areas and coffee farmers. The award-winning bean tasting held at the Dianchi Carnival has also brought professional competition results from the judging table and auction house to ordinary consumers, allowing more people to learn about the quality improvement of Yunnan's production areas through a cup of coffee.
In addition to the award-winning bean tasting in the CoE pilot competition, Luckin Coffee's Yunnan Menglian limited edition hand wash product launched at the carnival site has also been well received by consumers. Menglian is one of the important coffee producing areas in Yunnan, and has continuously improved in the cultivation, processing, and flavor expression of premium coffee in recent years. Through live consumption scenes such as pop-up stores, Luckin Coffee brings coffee products from Yunnan's production areas directly to tourists, making Yunnan coffee not only a business card and professional event in the production area, but also a cup of coffee that can be tasted, shared, and remembered by the Dianchi Lake.
From procurement to scientific research cooperation, Luckin Coffee continues to deepen its cultivation in Yunnan's production areas
Yunnan is the most important coffee producing region in China. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of high quality rate, deep processing rate, and international influence, Yunnan coffee is moving from traditional raw material supply to refinement, branding, and globalization. Luckin Coffee's cooperation with Yunnan Coffee has gradually extended from the product end to the production area end, processing end, logistics end, scientific research end, and consumption end.
According to public reports, Luckin Coffee's procurement of coffee beans for the entire production season in Yunnan in 2026 has exceeded 30000 tons. The stable and continuously expanding procurement demand has provided clearer market expectations for Yunnan's production areas and coffee farmers, as well as sustained exports for Yunnan coffee to enter a wider consumer market.
In addition to procurement, Luckin Coffee has been continuously improving its industrial layout in Yunnan in recent years. In March 2024, Luckin Coffee's coffee fresh fruit processing plant built in Baoshan, Yunnan entered the operational stage, with an annual fresh fruit processing capacity of 5000 tons, directly benefiting more than 20000 local coffee farmers. In January 2026, the "Luckin Express" railway train carrying Yunnan's seasonal coffee beans will depart from Pu'er, Yunnan to Xiamen, Fujian, connecting Yunnan's production area with the southeast coastal processing base. In February 2026, Luckin Coffee signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences to promote industry university research cooperation in areas such as coffee variety breeding and green planting technology research and development.
Behind these measures is Luckin Coffee's assessment of the long-term value of Yunnan coffee: on the one hand, it participates in the upstream industry capacity building of Yunnan coffee through procurement, processing, logistics, and scientific research cooperation; On the other hand, through nationwide stores, product development, competition cooperation, and offline tasting activities, Yunnan coffee will be brought to more consumers' cups.
In the industry's view, Yunnan coffee, which represents the height of China's production areas, and Luckin Coffee, which represents the strength of Chinese brands, are jointly forming the "two business cards" for Chinese coffee to go global. Yunnan provides local customs, quality, and production area value, while Luckin Coffee transforms this production area value into a broader market awareness through supply chain, product innovation, and consumer scenarios.
