Integrating charity into business operations, the warmth of a cup of coffee flows through the streets and alleys

At 391 Xiangyang South Road, hidden by wutong trees, Coffee is a local self baking cafe rooted in the community for ten years in Hengfu District. This year, for the first time, it joined the public welfare activity of "a cup of coffee warmth", becoming a warm and caring public welfare position in the street. The store manager Xu Ling told us the story of this community small shop integrating charity into a cup of coffee.

Entering the store, the public welfare desk card placed at the front desk is particularly eye-catching, introducing customers to public welfare projects that help migrant children and children with autism. The matching donation QR code makes love within reach. This event adopts a consumption linked donation model, where for every cup of coffee sold, the store donates 1 yuan; If the sales of public welfare coffee during the event period are less than 1000 cups, the store will make up the difference to ensure that the love quota is fully implemented.

Public welfare is not divided by industry, and we coffee practitioners also hope to gather more love and strength, "said Xu Ling. Establish an open and transparent statistical mechanism in the store. After closing each day, employees will actively count the number of public welfare coffee cups, publicize sales and donation amounts in the internal work group, and all staff will actively participate in public welfare related work. Many old neighbors and regular customers come to the store to make purchases and offer a gesture of goodwill by drinking coffee.

Our beans are all baked by ourselves, and most of the ones who come are old neighbors and friends, "said Xu Ling. Coffee is one of the earliest community coffee brands in Shanghai, with a total of six stores. The Xiangyang South Road store is the brand's first store, which has been in operation for ten years.

On weekdays, the store insists on practicing casual public welfare: employees manually weave knots, and all proceeds from sales are donated to the community's struggling aunties. In the past few days, I learned that we were participating in public welfare activities, and many old friends came to support us. "In Xu Ling's opinion, public welfare does not need to be grand, but rather subtle and silent. Using a cup of coffee as a link, community merchants put their social responsibility into daily operations, filling the streets and alleys of Hengfu with the lingering aroma of coffee and conveying the warmth and goodwill belonging to this city.
